It would have been so much easier if you had included that information in the PM you sent me, fag. KrackHouse is the name of a server which I believe no longer exists, but some other server where you've been playing must use one of their .pk3 files and downloaded it to your install. If you simply reinstall ET over, the installer (wisely) won't delete config files, the etkey file and your .pk3 files.duhmzdaih wrote:I can't play ET, and I have tried everything. Help me fellas. I reinstalled everything, used patches, deactivated firewalls... etc etc. Nothing works.
This is what the bitchy console says:
recursive error 'Couldn't load scripts/krackhouse.shader' after: Game code(ui_mp_x86.dll) failed Pure Server check
...and that's like chinese to me.
I went through all the trouble of running a search inside all .pk3 files used by the [>NF<] Server looking for files containing the word krackhouse in their names (.pk3 files are simply .zip files with another extension), and another search for the word krackhouse on ALL file types used by us (.pk3, .bin, .dll, .exe, etc.). No signs of krackhouse were found, meaning you've acquired this STD (Server Transmitted Disease) from a competitor.
Besides the [>NF<] Server maps - check their file names at http://www.noobsforever.net, at this moment there are exactly 91 custom maps - these are the only files that should be in your etmain directory:
campaigncycle.cfg
etkey
lmscycle.cfg
mp_bin.pk3
objectivecycle.cfg
pak0.pk3
pak1.pk3
pak2.pk3
punkbuster.cfg
qagame_mp_x86.dll
ui_mp_x86.dll
_nf_pack_20120130.pk3
None of these .cfg files are used for online play and you may delete them all. You might also have an autoexec.cfg file or another .cfg file that you created yourself (the ET installer does not create any .cfg files other than the ones listed above), and you may keep these files - the problem is most probably with a non-[>NF<] .pk3 file. So, DELETE EVERYTHING from etmain except the files above.
After you clean up your etmain directory, change the names of any mod directories you might have, including jaymod (just add an underline before their names). Then connect to the only server blessed by The Supreme Macho Spirit, the [>NF<] Server and let it download the jaymod files and any other files it needs.
The best way to connect to the [>NF<] Server is through a custom shortcut as described in this post.
