Installing ET

It takes 5 very simple steps to install ET:

1 - Run the main installer for version 2.55. Click YES when prompted to install PunkBuster.

2 - Run the update patch for version 2.60. Click YES when prompted to install PunkBuster.

3 - Copy the two version 2.60b files over the existing files where ET was installed.

4 - Generate an ETKEY file with the [>NF<] ETKEY Generator and copy it to the etmain directory where ET was installed (only if you are installing for the first time or don't already have an ETKEY file).

5 - Unpack the archive with the PB directory with updaters for all OS's and copy it over the PB directory where ET was installed. PunkBuster will be updated and its services will be installed the next time you connect to the [>NF<] Server or any other PB enabled server.

All these files may be downloaded from my sites http://www.portaldosgames.com/en and http://www.noobsforever.net. However, it seems most people are simply too dumb to follow these 5 steps in the order presented above, so if you're having problems installing or reinstalling ET, just head straight to Schnoog's http://www.etkey.org site and download Harlequin's nice Full ET Installer.
