Message on join attempt:Admin ban

Downloaded ET "patch"to solve pure server error problem (got link from an ET forum) , the problem occured a few times , especially when maps were being downloaded so i googled for solution and installed patch, when i joined the server i got
got 60 min or permanant ban.. unable to join ,any inconvinience regretted.
Patch deleted but still cannot join..
Please unban ,NF is only server i play on.

The [>NF<] Server is a member of the PBBans anti-cheat network. Your ban has propagated to all servers that are also members and you won't be able to join any of them. None of these servers would be able to unban you unless they ended their membership with PBBans.

Note that it wasn't a PBBans cheat check that caught you though, it was PunkBuster itself. I can tell you beforehand that, given the evidence, any appeal to PBBans will be denied. Excuses like "it wasn't me on the computer", "I downloaded something I didn't know was a cheat", etc., won't cut it. I also wouldn't unban you in any case, even if [>NF<] wasn't a PBBans member.

This has been said over and over - DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FROM ANY SOURCE OTHER THAN WELL KNOWN FILE HOSTS, THE GAME'S OFFICIAL SITE OR SITES BELONGING TO THE SERVER YOU PLAY ON. DO NOT USE ANY PROGRAMS OR CONFIGS THAT YOU FIND ON THE NET OR THAT A FRIEND GIVES YOU UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT EACH COMMAND IN THEM DOES.
