play nice!!

ok as some of you may have noticed, I'm back and since i've been back i've seen some things that need to be addressed.
first: pushing team mates off ledges and or causing damage/death because of such actions is a kick
second: pushing a covert off a body to steal the uniform from the person who is taking it is a kick (come on coverts if another covert kills someone it's their uniform. if another class kills them then first one there gets it no fighting or pushing)
third: disarming dynamite of a team mate so you can plant to get the xp is a kick
as i've always done in the past if you like the panzer watch the tk's you get a warning first then it's the boot. Same with airstrikes and artillery if you don't know where to call them properly you get a warning then the boot. by the same token if it's a good valid airstrike or artillery target/location and YOU run into it don't come crying to me or any other ref.
and last mines. anyone caught carelessly and consistantly stepping on their team mate's mines will get a warning first then the boot. this has been posted about before so nothing new here

The Sacred Emperor seconds Rumple's post.
I'll also add a warning I had posted in the chat box:
Players who like doing a mass TK when they are about to leave the server will be first banned for 3 days, then permanently banned if that behavior continues. Two players have already been punished: Hardliner and Winnie The Pooh.

If someone is ''too pro'' to see the explosion, its their fault, not fops fault. About the panzer, in 99.9% the TKs are not intended.
So, I think that you shouldnt ban someone if other guy just ran out of nowhere in front of his missile or wanted to sprint through the explosions.

i didn't say ban i said kick Fsjal. and yes sometimes it is an accident. most times it's not it's a panzer user that doesn't care who he kills to get the enemy.
this also goes to knowing the weapon. knowing the blast damage radius if you don't know that then you shouldn't be using it. it's the same as artillery/airstrikes. if you don't know how and when to use them then don't be a field op

about the panzer, in some cases, the TK really can be avoided. But since you cant stop the airstrike or the artillery, its up to the other player to avoid the area. And in this case, IMO, its the other player's (the TKed) fault.

we cant forget the cases that some eng plant a mine in a place that someone from his team will obviously pass.

So what do you want us to do when there's no ref on to kick someone?
example: no ref was on when Suycyda (or however his name is spelled) was disarming my mines and replacing them with his own. or when guillherme is pushing me off towers and off of covops unis that i have killed. (9 or not he knows wtf he is is doing, and he knows that molotoving me to death wont get him kicked for tk).
also - about mine placement- i place my mines near ladders or points of entry for the opposite team, if you can't learn to avoid them when you can see them, thats not my fault. i can go around other peoples mines and my own perfectly, so the problem is yours.

Do a
/condump file.txt and send the file to me, citing the relevant parts I should look into. I'll compare it with the server log for confirmation and take whatever measures I deem necessary.
About mines, you are all correct - BedIntruder, Fsjal and Crystal.
The only reasons when it's acceptable to trip a teammate's mine is when there is absolutely no way around it, or the mine was tripped by another player and you were nearby, or you were thrown onto the mine by a panzer shot, an RG shot, a grenade, etc. Skilled engineers will often place mines in tricky spots that may be hard even for the team to avoid, but that's no reason for carelessly tripping those mines, which may jeopardize the whole defense strategy of that engineer.
A classic example is the area around the corner with a tree which leads to a slope to the east parts in Radar. I will usually place mines in unusual and/or hard to see spots there, so the team should be careful when walking through that area. Now it's another story if an engineer plants too close to an exit from the old city in Oasis, that's just dumb because there will be lots of players leaving the building at the same time and certainly someone from the team will end up tripping the mine.
Of course, even when players are careful,
accidents do happen and no one is perfect, so refs must always use a good deal of common sense when judging these events.

those files only show the text in the console right? but when someone is defusing your stuff, how does that show up? should we like record it or something?

Yes. I always record all my games and I encourage everyone to do the same: just include the command
set cg_autoaction 1 in your autoexec.cfg file to have all matches automatically recorded (demos are stored in the jaymod folder).
P.S.: people bothering me with PM's or emails about every single little problem they have with someone in the game are more likely to be punished than the other player. I'm not here to babysit, and neither are the refs.

seems in the time i've been away from the server some of these rules have gotten a bit lax so i'm bumping this post for all the newer folks
