Microsoft Expands Rebootless Display Driver Upgrade Patent
Microsoft was just granted the rights to a more elaborate display driver update that does not require a computer system to reboot.
The insane patent wars rage on. This means that, for example, if NVIDIA or ATI come up with drivers that don't need a system restart to start working, they'll have to pay royalties to M$. The stupidity of the USPO (US Patent Office) seems to know no limits.
