Good Old Games (commonly referred to as just "GOG") is a software publisher which specializes in old (and not so old) PC and Mac classic and indie games. What's nice about the company's work is that they fix old games so that they will run perfectly on current Windows versions like XP, Vista and 7.

I was amazed and delighted to find out that the GOG version of my all-time favorite RTS (real-time strategy) game, Total Annihilation, besides being cured of its annoying screen flickering problem on XP and later Windows versions, now also supports all current high resolution modes. Moreover, all games are DRM free (you may install them on as many computers as you like), very reasonably priced, and GOG also includes manuals, soundtracks and other extra bonus content for most titles.

Some of the classics you'll find at GOG: Total Annihilation (Commander Pack); Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 3; Hitman 1 and 2; Ultima series; System Shock 2; Myst series; Blood 1 and 2; Unreal (Gold); MDK 1 and 2; MegaRace 1 and 2; Fallout 1 and 2; Neverwinter Nights; Prince Of Persia series; Shattered Steel; Wing Commander series; Painkiller (Black Edition); Serious Sam 1 and 2; Sacrifice; Commandos 1 (Ammo Pack), 2 and 3; Carmageddon (Max Pack); Duke Nukem series; Messiah; and many, many others.

More recent games available include Assassin's Creed (Director's Cut), Alan Wake, Lucius, Slender - The Arrival, Far Cry 2 (Fortune's Edition) and lots more.

Just by registering on their site at www.gog.com you instantly receive 10 free games! And if there's a game you'd like to see added to GOG's catalogue, you can vote for it on the Community Wishlist.
